Between a fan's payment and your bank account there are a few steps, and most payout worries come from not knowing which step the money is in. This guide explains the mechanics from OnlyFans' own Terms of Use (checked 22 October 2026), marks clearly what is only commonly reported, and ends with the one rule that matters most if anyone else works on your account.

From fan payment to your bank

  1. A fan pays. OnlyFans takes its fee: 20% of the total fan payment, deducted from each payment.
  2. Pending. Your share sits in a pending balance first. A period of about seven days is commonly reported.
  3. Current balance. The terms say earnings are only available for withdrawal when reflected in your account.
  4. Withdrawal. Your balance must meet the minimum payout amount; $20 is the commonly reported figure. Then the money goes to your bank, on the timing of your payout method.

Common reasons for delays

What you seeUsual reasonWhat to do

The rule about payouts and agencies

Payouts should always go to your own bank account. An agency should never receive or hold your payouts; it should invoice its commission afterwards, based on the platform's statement. If an agency asks you to change payout details to an account it controls, it controls your income, and leaving becomes much harder. Our guide on leaving an agency covers what to do if that has already happened, and our contract glossary shows the clauses to look for.

At White Door, payouts go to the creator, always, and commission is invoiced afterwards (what the commission covers).

Plan with net figures

What reaches you is the fan payment minus 20%, minus any refunds and chargebacks, before tax. The free earnings and net calculator shows this for your own numbers.

Questions creators ask

How long does OnlyFans hold earnings?

OnlyFans' terms say earnings are available for withdrawal once they are reflected in your account balance. A pending period of about seven days is commonly reported before earnings become withdrawable.

What is the OnlyFans minimum payout?

The terms say your balance must meet the minimum payout amount; $20 is the figure commonly reported. Check the current amount in your payout settings.

Should my payouts go to my agency?

No. Payouts should always go from the platform directly to your own bank account. An agency should invoice its commission afterwards. An agency that wants your payouts routed through it controls your income.
